To help with your decision, the South Australian Department for Education provides the following general guidance: Children who turn 5 years old on or before 1 May often start Foundation at the beginning of that school year. Children who turn 5 years old after 1 May often start at mid‑year (July) or the following year. Please enter the date you currently expect your child to commence Foundation below.
